dc.description.abstract	This paper discusses the various surveillance networks established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to monitor illness that results from the use of FDA-regulated products. More specifically, this paper primarily looks at surveillance systems established to monitor foodborne illness, antimicrobial resistance, and vaccines. Also discussed are potential gaps in the systems, the systemsâ€™ reliance on state and local public health departments, and the systemsâ€™ role in fighting the growing threat of bioterrorism.	en
