| Abstract: | This paper examines the rise of online pharmacies and the issues of drug importation, focusing on the problem of counterfeiting, and reimportation. It describes the positive and negative aspects of online consumer drug purchasing, overviews existing regulation of importation and reimportation, and proposes possible solutions to the problems that arise. In the end, it concludes that individual importation and reimportation should not be allowed, except in very limited circumstances, to continue to safeguard consumer safety. |
