I am a physician writing memoir. I was Dr. Robert E. Gross' patient in 1954. I had severe pulmonary stenosis and had had SBE twice. In memoir, I am exploring my experience as a "sick kid" in that era and how it impacted my choice of medicine as a career and my life as a whole.
