AbstractPreservation of locality of reference is the most critical issue for performance in high performance architectures, especially scalable architectures with electronic interconnection networks. We briefly discuss some of the issues in this paper and give results from the use of spectral bisection on irregular grid computations on the Connection Machine systems.
