Occasionally, this means that I happen to have a book by an author who is largely forgotten today. Having open access to DASH allows me to read the occasional thesis related to an author I have found. While this isn't necessary for scanning the book, it helps me understand the author a bit better. Often the author is in contrast to a more well known author which helps me understand the original author better. What a great resource!
