The major component of stationary behavior is the dewlap display, accompanied by various static and dynamic modifiers. Advancing behaviors include moving toward an opponent, threatening attack, and actual biting. The aggressive behavior of <i>A. marcanoi</i> is progressive and hierarchically structured. By contrast, the behavior of <i>A. cybotes</i> is less elaborate and ritualized than that of its sibling and lacks progressive structure.en-US
