The shape of the coexistence line in the P-T plane is fit exactly by this theory. The effects of concentration on reentrant behaviour are also explained.en-USliquid crystal phase transformationsnematic liquid crystalssmectic liquid crystalsLandau theoryoptimum densitysmectic orderingcoexistence lineP T planeconcentrationreentrant behaviourreentrant nematic to smectic A phase transitionLandau Theory of the Reentrant Nematic-Smectic A Phase TransitionJournal Article2013-03-0410.1051/jphyslet:0197900400202700
