It locates a tradition of authors who question autonomy as “integrity” or “wholeness” and who produce “broken”, “unfinished”, “absent” and “unimaginable” poems. The investigation of this trope helps discover how literature understands itself in relation to war, concentration camps, dictatorship, and post-dictatorship.
