Abstract

The staff at Harvard University's Weissman Preservation Center (Cambridge, Massachusetts) choose to use Japanese tissue paper of the lightest weight available (1.6 g/m²) for an invisible precoated mending tissue. Step-by-step instructions are provided for the preparation and assembly of the tissue and its application to an area needing mending.
