Abstract
Ahi-ṭalli’s mother sold her to the Assyrian king as a harem child-slave for his pleasure. But that would not stop her, as a growing young woman, from revolting against her society’s expectations and living life on her own terms. She would author her own story. And 2,700 years later, that inscribed and buried tale will surface and change the lives of two ambitious and exploited archaeologist women who recover it from the sands of the western-Levant.
