Abstract

What are the relational dynamics of narrative-as-communication, and why do the biblical scriptures utilize it? Through an exploration of both these questions and several key biblical narratives, this paper seeks to uncover a theology of relationship in which control is cast as antithetical to love for divine and mortal alike.
