Abstract
It is critical to identify, and address, bottlenecks in human-AI decision-making. If not, the theoretical gains of AI may remain theoretical. In this dissertation, I will discuss three papers with that central research goal. Two study traditional decision support systems (human as the primary decision maker equipped with conventional predictive algorithms), and a third focuses on settings where GenAI is responsible for final decision-making.
