Abstract

Fat cadherins are an essential planar cell polarity molecule that is conserved throughout evolution. Yet little is known about what regions of these molecules has been conserved over time. This thesis describes the importance of these molecules in C. elegans, Drosophila melanogaster, Mus musculus, and Homo Sapiens. Furthermore, a Python pipeline has been established to examine gene expression of different molecules of interest in Mus musculus.
