Abstract

This paper examines the politicization of the Christian right under Donald Trump’s Republican presidency during the COVID-19 pandemic and follows the case study of the speedy nomination and appointment of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett to understand how extremist political religions have sparked a wave of suicide trends amongst the U.S. LGBTQ+ Gen Zer on the social media platform TikTok.
