Abstract

This capstone project focuses on the use of Improvement Science Methodology to improve the onboarding, training, and retention of paraeducators. The project aims to involve those closest to the work in identifying and addressing challenges through a process of continuous improvement. The author draws on relevant literature around improvement science, leadership, and organizational dynamics to inform their approach. The project highlights the importance of building relationships and navigating political dynamics within the organization to achieve strategic objectives. The author concludes by reflecting on the lessons learned from the project and the value of building meaningful relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
