Nickitina, Olea. 2022. Spiritual Intelligence as a Predictor of Creative Self-Beliefs. Master's thesis, Harvard University Division of Continuing Education.

Abstract

The chief aim of the study was to explore the connection between Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) and creative self-beliefs (CSBs) taking into consideration trait Openness. The study analyzed the parallels between SQ and CSBs in various social contexts, as well as their relation to the Big Five personality traits. Spiritual Intelligence levels were assessed via Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory (SISRI-24), Creative Self-Beliefs were assessed via The Short Scale of Creative Self (SSCS), while trait Openness was evaluated via The Big Five Inventory (BFI) Openness Scale. The results of the study suggest that Spiritual Intelligence significantly and positively predicted creative self-beliefs. Additionally, the study replicated existing findings identifying trait Openness as a significant predictor of SQ and CSBs. Furthermore, Spiritual Intelligence and Openness as co-predictors have demonstrated a significant and positive correlation to creative self-beliefs. Implications and future directions for this research are discussed.
