Abstract

"The Book of Questions" is intended to become a Middle Grade novel about a magical philosophy world that exists within a portal at the New York Public Library. The thesis consists of the first four chapters of the novel. I have structured the novel in such a way that there are seven philosophical schools of thought the protagonist will explore. This thesis introduces the protagonist to the reader, followed by the call to action, and then the resulting first two philosophical realms and obstacles. My ultimate intention of this project is to write a novel that infuses philosophical teaches into fiction for young adults, with a female identifying character who struggles to find meaning in the present chaotic state of the world.
