I went to school for art and illustration but in recent years have felt deeply lacking in a more rounded, scholarly education. In order to fill some of the gaps in my knowledge I have been self-educating through reading. Beyond books, it seems important to be able to access the wealth of knowledge published in articles. So much information doesn't make it out to the greater public easily and yet it is the source that most scientists and theorists seem to manage their findings in. Seeing as I'm not in one of these fields and am loosely compiling my own education, it would be a great hardship to pay for this access.
