I am attempting to write a new history book for the IB's History of the Americas. I want to focus on an approach that shows that the relationship between England and Spain was pivotal in some of the first encounters in the Americas. This is so students get away from the general approach of founding of the US and then seeing the rest of the Americas as their present states. This way the accomplishments of Bolivar etc will be in a better perspective. Thanks for opening the article.
