I am an Imam at a state prison in Pennsylvania and also a student studying Arabic language. I have a particular interest in Islam in West Africa. This dissertation was extremely helpful in my understanding of the depths of African spirituality in general and how the spiritual aspect of Islam, Sufism, has manifested amongst African peoples. Thank you for making such an important document available for the public.
