I am immensely grateful for free access to these articles. As a social worker and grief blogger, my website has over 2 million visitors a year who are primarily individuals who are grievers. As a social work it is very difficult to keep up with the cost of access to journals, but as an explainer site providing grievers and professional information, support, and education about grief it is crucial we have access to research. There has long been a disconnect in grief between researchers, practitioners, and grievers. Open Access through DASH democratizes information that can be immensely helpful to individuals coping with grief and the professionals that support them.
