I am a retired church minister who is actively continuing on via the internet and via radio. I personally believe and teach that higher critical methods can provide for us a more authentic understanding of the historical situations and people of the particular period of the manuscript's provenance. I need daily access to credible scholarly material in order to take what seems to be historical truth from the scholarly jargon then translate it for the benefit of those who are inquisitive auto-didacts but haven't had the opportunity, intelligence or personality to participate in institutional higher education.
