I am a graduate student working to finish my dissertation. For family and health reasons, I cannot live on campus and take advantage of the university's resources. Open Access means that when the library's online access is unavailable, I still can read important research and continue to work toward making my own contributions to knowledge--a scholar's first responsibility.
