A young high school student and I recently had a debate about whether #poorlivesmatter as much as #blacklivesmatter. I wanted to share this decades-long scholarship controversy that has been so well researched by Dr. Wilson, his supporters and dissenters. As a former high school history teacher, I was jazzed to listen to his ideas and the framing of this arguments. I think this article will help him more clearly define his positions.
