I'm a Buddhist meditation teacher and teacher trainer. Patrul Rinpoche is one of the liveliest "ancestors" in my lineage. Materials on Patrul Rinpoche with a well informed scholarly point of view—both friendly and sufficiently skeptical—are rare. So for purposes of my own reflection and teaching I am delighted to find and have access to Schapiro's thesis.
