The victor will need all his courage and resolution to defend the free world against the political and economic ruin threatened by international terrorism. The spreading Muslim phobia to America has fuelled the evil of Osama bin Laden and presented the President with an international in-tray dominated by the tragedy of Iraq, the growing nuclear menace in Iran and North Korea, the Middle East, and the emergence of China as a looming economic superpower.
